Big Dance Bracketology

The Big Dance, The NCAA Championship, March Madness, The Tourney, The Big Ticket, any of the above will do. This is Lucky Lester here, ready to throw some teams out for you to think about. Who's likely to ride their bubble to The Big Dance? Who's going to get popped early? Who are you taking to the Dance?

With a season as exciting as this one, naturally there is a lot of ground to cover. In an effort to make it easier to find the information that you are interested in, we have broken it down into 4 different catagories. Please use the links below to find the teams and info that interests you. After selecting a catagory, look for the team link to be taken directly to the team you are following.

Blowing or Bursting Bubbles? Upset Bound - Good & Bad

A Final Thought

I've been hearing a lot of stuff, or reading it rather, that insists the Big East might fill out the Tourney Bracket with 8 squads. For more than one reason, this is ridiculous. First of all, one argument is that the Big East is filled with good teams. Though I agree, there are pretty good teams at the top, they also have some algae eaters at the bottom. I like to compare the ACC to the Big East, because I think they are better. The top three teams in the ACC are better than the top three in the Big East. NC, Wake, and Duke are better as a group than UConn, BC, and Syracuse. They also have 2 of the top 3 teams in the country. Nova is good. And Pitt might be better than Maryland and Georgia Tech, but not by as much as people think. Swallow this. There is only one team in the ACC with a losing record (Florida State). The big east has 4. These all leaves me to believe that 8 teams from the Big East are headed to the big game. 4 straight losses by Georgetown might help level things out, but even then 7 might be too much. Each conference is strong, but as I imagined before the season started, the overall strength from top to bottom in the ACC would hurt some good teams. Miami, V-Tech, NC State, I see where you're coming from. Don't be surprised if the Tourney Selection Committee takes a look at these factors and straightens the rumors out.... then again, don't be surprised if they bug it all up either.
